Sweden: Fall 2022

Before this adventure, my Swedish stops were limited to only a single day in Malmö back in 2014. Here, in order, we knocked out Uppsala, Sigtuna and Stockholm, alongside where we stayed in Märsta.

Talinn: Fall 2022

Stop number 2 on this trip was to a brand new location for me. I didn’t get the chance on my previous two Finland trips to ferry across the water to Estonia, but that was remedied here. This might have been the most beautiful historic old town I have ever seen, and the Telliskivi Creative City blew our minds.

Finland: Fall 2022

This trip (to Finland, Estonia, Sweden) was the first trip I have taken with a wrestling buddy. Jack Vaughn, my long-time friend go to experience Europe for the first time. This was my third trip to Finland, but on this one we ventured outside of the cities and got to bask in the beautiful Finnish nature (thanks to my great friend Starbuck), even going from steam sauna to jumping in the frozen lake.

Helsinki: Spring 2022

Two trips to Finland within a year have me struggling internally to choose my favorite Nordic country. Regardless, it was great to be back in Helsinki, loving the scenery and the company (both SLAM Wrestling and the great individuals that I shared a yoga studio-apartment with).

Moi!

Brussels: Spring 2022

Being in Amsterdam, I figured it would be foolish not to adventure South to Belgium. I was correct in that assessment. Brussels was a delightful, chill city, which I needed in the middle of my adventure.

Aller!

Amsterdam: Spring 2022

I took about one hundred pictures of canals and bicycles. I decided that many looked familiar so I only put up so many. Amsterdam is THAT beautiful, where everywhere you turn should be captured in a photo.

Gaan!

Spain: Spring 2022

It was a bit colder on this second trip to Barcelona, and unfortunately thanks to a significant flight delay in the US, I only got to enjoy the area for a day-and-a-half before being whisked away.

¡Viaje Dos!

Romania: Fall 2021

The furthest I had traveled East thus far, to Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Hoia-Baciu, the haunted forest to the great salt mine to Bran Castle, it was an incredible experience thanks to my friend Maryan.

Merge!

Finland: Fall 2021

Heading back to the Nordics, one of my favorite places, and Helsinki here didn’t disappoint. From the beautiful old city, to the populous that doesn’t like small talk, to fortress island, Suomenlinna.

Mennä!

Spain: Fall 2021

After almost two years of zero travel due to Covid, I couldn’t have been more thrilled to get back overseas. Barcelona was the perfect first stop. It was a bit cold to jump in the, but I had to on general principle as this was the first destination I had been to with this climate.

VAMOS!

Berlin: Fall 2019

At the end of this particular adventure to Europe, I had the chance to take a 8-hour detour to Berlin from Copenhagen, before speeding back to Munch to fly home. I wish I had more time in this historic city, but I tried to move non-stop and take in as much as I could.

Copenhagen: Fall 2019.

I couldn’t end my Fall trip to Europe without ending up in one of my favorite cities for a week. Copenhagen is beautiful, the people are fantastic, and I always end up in some crazy places.

Budapest: Fall 2019.

I had never planned on going to Hungary, but then I made friends with a cool Hungarian fellow while traveling. Six months later, I experienced one of the most fun cities on the planet for about a week.

Bratislava: Fall 2019.

With one free day in the middle of my trip, I took a look at the map and found that I could make it from Vienna to Bratislava in a little over an hour. I immediately purchased a $5 bus ticket and spent a killer day in a real hidden gem of a city.

Vienna: Fall 2019.

A city of romance, in which I didn’t spend enough time. I made some great friends, saw some art, and drank an einspänner in the favorite café of Beethoven and Mozart.

Nuremberg: Fall 2019.

One year prior I wandered into Nuremberg, Germany for a wrestling show. The history major in me was thrilled to explore the sites and city. On this trip, I was more excited to visit the awesome friends, Steffi and Chris, I made in 2018. So, this is casual exploring, and the 2018 Nuremberg photo album has the historical sites.

Munich: Fall 2019.

I scour the internet looking for and tracking flights for probably way too much time. But every now and then you come across a ridiculous deal and Munich became my base for my fall trip. Plus, my homie Felix lives about 20 miles outside of the city and was more than happy to help me explore right when I got into town.

Scotland: Spring 2019.

After two not-incredibly-enjoyable trips to England, I decided to venture further north in the UK. I was not disappointed, as Scotland was beautiful. I spent a few days in the city of Edinburgh and few more in the countryside near Dundee. I will return as soon as circumstances allow.

Paris: Fall 2018.

I ended up in France on a whim in 2018. Without a place to stay, a former significant other suggested that Paris would be a great choice. And that it was. Three days in Paris was incredible, and we were lucky enough to be there in August, which is the most calm the normally crazy city is all year. The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and Notre Dame (right before the fire).

NW France: Fall 2018.

After three days in Paris, we moved on to five days in Northwestern France. Mainly Kerloc’h, with a day in Brest and a day near Bignan. In Kerloc’h, a city difficult to even find with Google Maps, we stayed in a stone cabin, overseeing the ocean and a practically vacant beach. It was a moment in life that seemed unreal.

Dublin: Fall 2018.

I first traveled to Dublin in 2014. It was my first European destination ever. I fell in love with the city and of course, I made friends. One of them being my dude, Conor. As a tour guide, he had plenty of ideas for awesome ways to enjoy the city. And at the end, I was able to help an Indiana friend explore the city on her first day of moving to Ireland.

Nuremberg: Fall 2018.

This brief part of my month-long trip was great not only because of the history of the city and the wrestling, but also because my friend Ace got his first international experience alongside me.

Quebec: Fall 2018.

My first journey to French Canada happened on whim right before a month in Europe. My friends Dylan and Rachel asked me to join for a few wrestling shows in Saint-Victor and Quebec City. After three days, Quebec City solidified itself as one of my favorite cities. It’s beauty feels centuries old, the food is great, and the wrestling fans are rabid, the perfect combination.

Japan: Fall 2017-Part 1.

The second half of my 2017 was spent in beautiful Japan. These photos are of the first two months, and include; random Tokyo stuff, the Tokyo Art City exhibit, Mori Art Museum and my first trip to Hiroshima.

Japan: Fall 2017-Part 2.

The last few months of my 2017, living in Tokyo. Ueno Zoo, random adventures with my friend Kelly (on her first trip to wrestle in Japan!), Tokyo Disney, my birthday, and some more!

Japan: Feb 2016

This trip is really where my second “life” began. It was my first adventure to Japan. After this month “tryout” for W-1 in Japan, my market value went way up, and my much cooler travels and opportunities started. All photos are pretty rough, so thanks for bearing with me!
